Certification confirms that an organisation has undergone an independent audit and meets the requirements of a specific standard. This process ensures transparency, enhances accountability, and supports international recognition.

Most ISO/IEC certifications are valid for three years, with annual surveillance audits conducted to monitor continued conformity. A recertification audit is required at the end of the cycle.
