RA CyberSec Summit 2026 Convenes Cybersecurity Leaders in Karachi and Islamabad to Advance Data Centric Security

Karachi and Islamabad, Pakistan, February 2026: Risk Associates successfully hosted RA CyberSec Summit 2026, a strategic cybersecurity leadership forum that brought together regulators, enterprise leaders, cybersecurity professionals, and academic experts to address the evolving challenges of protecting critical data in an increasingly complex digital landscape.

The summit took place across two major cities in Pakistan, beginning on 02 February 2026 at the Marriott Hotel Grand Ballroom in Karachi, followed by the Islamabad edition on 04 February 2026 at the Air University Auditorium. Both events gathered senior decision makers from financial services, technology, government institutions, and academia to discuss modern cybersecurity strategies and the growing importance of data centric security frameworks.

The agenda of the summit focused on defining a blueprint for protecting enterprise data across digital environments through advanced data discovery, governance, and autonomous pentesting technologies, while also strengthening regulatory compliance and operational resilience.

Opening the Dialogue on Cyber Resilience

The Karachi edition of the summit opened with an inaugural address delivered by Ms Sana Ahmed and Ms Natasha Arjumand, setting the tone for a day of strategic conversations around cybersecurity governance and digital resilience.

The summit then moved into its first featured session titled Always On Security: The Strategic Shift to Autonomous Pentesting, presented by Kelly Robertson, Principal Security Practitioner, alongside Hussain Zaidi from Risk Associates. The discussion explored how organisations must move beyond periodic penetration testing and adopt continuous security validation models to proactively identify vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.

The Rise of Data Centric Security

A keynote presentation by Dr Aftab Rizvi, CEO of Risk Associates, introduced the concept of data centric security in the AI era, highlighting how modern enterprises must place data protection at the core of their cybersecurity strategies.

Dr Rizvi emphasised that organisations can no longer rely solely on perimeter security models. Instead, they must focus on discovering, classifying, and protecting data wherever it resides across complex digital ecosystems.

The summit also featured a keynote by Ms Adeela Waqar, Director Labs at Pakistan’s NCERT, who presented a national perspective on cyber resilience. Her address highlighted the importance of coordinated cybersecurity frameworks, public sector collaboration, and institutional readiness in strengthening Pakistan’s digital defence capabilities.

Artificial Intelligence and Enterprise Security

Continuing the agenda, Mr Ammar Jaffri, President of PISA Pakistan, delivered an insightful keynote on the role of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity. His presentation explored how AI driven technologies can strengthen threat detection, automate response capabilities, and improve cyber defence mechanisms.

Another keynote session by Mr Mehzad Sahar, an expert in enterprise risk management, focused on how large organisations can safeguard critical data while maintaining agility in fast-evolving digital environments.

Demonstrating Data Fortified Security

One of the key highlights of the summit was the featured presentation titled Data Fortified: Security Solution That Never Sleeps, delivered by Richard Matthewman of GuardWare.

The session demonstrated how data-centric security platforms can enable organisations to continuously discover sensitive data, monitor risk exposure, and implement encryption and governance controls to prevent data theft. The presentation emphasised that protecting the data itself is essential for maintaining digital trust and regulatory compliance.

Advancing National Data Security Dialogue

The Islamabad edition of the summit expanded the discussion to include policy and governance perspectives. In addition to keynote sessions on data centric security and internet governance, the event hosted a strategic panel discussion titled Making Data Security a National Level Priority.

Moderated by Mr Navaid Naqvi, the panel featured Mr Kashif Hassan, Managing Director of Risk Associates; Dr Ammar Masood, Dean FC & AI at Air University; Mr Jawad Khalid Mirza, CISO at Askari Bank; Dr Ghalib Asadullah Shah, Professor at Air University; and Mr Ammar Jaffri, President of PISA Pakistan.

The panel explored how organisations and policymakers can elevate data protection to a national priority by strengthening governance frameworks, regulatory compliance mechanisms, and responsible adoption of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.

Speakers emphasised the importance of collaboration between government institutions, financial organisations, academia, and technology leaders to build a resilient cybersecurity ecosystem in Pakistan.

Building a Collaborative Cybersecurity Ecosystem

Across both editions, RA CyberSec Summit 2026 fostered meaningful dialogue between cybersecurity practitioners, enterprise leaders, and policymakers. Participants discussed how organisations must adopt proactive strategies that integrate data governance, risk management, and continuous security validation to effectively protect critical digital assets.

The summit also provided a platform for networking and collaboration, allowing attendees to exchange insights, share best practices, and explore emerging technologies that are shaping the future of cybersecurity.

Shaping the Future of Cybersecurity in Pakistan

As digital transformation continues to accelerate across industries, the protection of data has become central to enterprise resilience and national security.

RA CyberSec Summit 2026 reaffirmed the importance of leadership driven cybersecurity strategies and highlighted the growing role of data centric security, autonomous pentesting, and governance frameworks in safeguarding digital ecosystems.

By convening leaders from across sectors, Risk Associates continues to play a key role in advancing cybersecurity dialogue and strengthening the foundation for a secure digital future in Pakistan.
